Ukrainians living abroad have always formed associations to help each other, and by doing so, help the countries and societies in which they live as well. As part of the fourth wave of Ukrainian immigrants to the USA, we started our new life in the USA by organizing a school for our children. Ukrainian School of Knowledge is the only Ukrainian school in the state of Oregon. This school was founded on September 2nd, 1998 in order to help our children through education become better, more knowledgeable, responsible, more productive individuals and citizens and also value their heritage. Our Saturday School is a non-profit educational, non-discriminatory organization that provides services to the community in the Portland Metro area. We teach children ages of 5-14 of any nationality in speaking, writing, mathematics, music theory/choir, and the study of the Bible all in Ukrainian language. We are more than persuaded that these incoming years will bring more success to our community. Help your children understand where they came from, and who they are by enrolling them to this school. You will see their success and development and will not regret the time spent at Ukrainian School of Knowledge.
