Ukrainians living abroad have always formed associations to help each other, and by doing so, help the countries and societies in which they live as well. As part of the fourth wave of Ukrainian immigrants to the USA, we started our new life in the USA by organizing a school for our children. Ukrainian School of Knowledge is the only Ukrainian school in the state of Oregon. This school was founded on September 2nd, 1998 in order to help our children through education become better, more knowledgeable, responsible, more productive individuals and citizens and also value their heritage. It is that time of year and school is just around the corner! If you have not already filled out a application for the 2010-2011 year, please do so. Even if your child attended school last year, a new application must be filled out and sent to the appropriate address.

Tips for school:
We can't believe the school year is about to begin. It seems as if the school just ended! We cannot wait to see our continuing students as well as the new students. We would suggest to begin school supply shopping while the prices are still low! Don't wait too long or you might have to pay double or even run out of supplies if you wait till the last minute.
